IZUMO MATCHA “TAISYA”
TAISYA is an entry-grade matcha from IZUMO MATCHA, perfect for everyday use and matcha lattes. It has a slightly lighter color and aroma than higher grades but offers a smooth taste with subtle umami. Ideal for those new to matcha or looking for a daily-use option.

🍃 From the Heart of Shimane
Grown in Izumo City, home of the sacred Izumo Taisha Shrine, this matcha benefits from the region’s unique climate: low sunlight, mild UV, and ideal conditions for tea cultivation. These factors help develop a light, gentle flavor that’s easy to enjoy.

🌱 Made by Skilled Artisans
At IZUMO-SEICHA, every batch is handcrafted by tea artisans using traditional methods. Their attention to detail ensures a consistent flavor that’s suitable for lattes, sweets, or casual tea drinking.

Tasted great and it lasted me so long! (around 5 months)
I recommend this for matcha lattes and for beginners. It has a subtle umami flavor, but sweet when adding milk and agave.
Here's a banana oat milk latte I made! -

I just finished up my 100g pack on Taisya matcha! It lasted me ~3 weeks as I make matcha lattes frequently. I prefer this version of Izumo and it is very similar Kami-Watashi and Kagura at a better price point.
This is a great affordable and beginner matcha that is good in lattes.
I would recommend buying a few packs as shipping is pricey especially to the eastern US.
This matcha is smooth but still has a distinct matcha flavor. The color is beautiful. The photo attached uses 2% milk and I find it preferable to oatmilk for this brand of matcha.
