After that, enter the payment method information and complete the order.

Please make sure to enter your name, address, phone number, and email address accurately.
Entering incorrect information increases the risk of your package being returned.

We accept major credit cards, Paypal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.

All credit card transactions are processed securely by Shopify Payment or PayPal.

It is not necessary to have a PayPal account in order to make a payment.

MatchaJP does not keep any record of your credit card or other financial information.

Regarding Customs Duties and VAT

Customs duties and taxes, including VAT (Value Added Tax), are generally not included in the product price (with the exception of the United States).
For shipments to the European Union (EU), VAT is mandatory on all orders regardless of value.
The VAT rate varies depending on the destination country (e.g., 19% in Germany, 20% in France).
Whether additional customs duties will apply, and the amount of such duties, depends on the country, the customs authority’s decision, and the total order value.
Since we cannot determine the exact charges in advance, please contact the customs office in your country if you would like to know beforehand.

For Customers in the United States

In the United States, a new system has recently been introduced under which all imported products are subject to customs duties.
To avoid any issues, the total amount displayed for customers ordering from the U.S. already includes the customs duties.
We will then pay the duties to the authorities on your behalf, so you will not be charged any additional customs fees after shipment.

This policy applies only to customers placing orders from the United States.

Regarding Refusal to Pay Customs Duties or VAT

On very rare occasions, some customers refuse to pay customs duties or VAT and request a refund.
However, please understand that even if the package is not received due to refusal of customs or VAT payment, shipping costs are still incurred, and in fact, the return process results in additional round-trip shipping fees.
In addition, in such cases, the package may be held for a long period or delayed during transport, which can make the items unsuitable for resale.

For these reasons, we kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to provide refunds in cases where customs duties or VAT are refused.

Product Tracking

Once your item is ready to be shipped, we will send you an email with a tracking number.
You can track your item using that number.

Regarding lost luggage

If you have any problems with your item not arriving at the time of delivery, please contact the delivery company first.

EMS, Small Packet → Post office in your country

FedEX → FedEX customer center

*Please note that Small Packet can be shipped at a cheaper rate, but the delivery time is longer.

In the event of loss, Small Packet will only provide compensation up to 6,000 yen.

If you choose postal delivery, please select EMS for orders over 6,000 yen.

Regarding Stolen

In particular, with FedEX, delivery may be completed by leaving the package at your front door if you are not at home.

We cannot provide any guarantee if your package is subsequently stolen by a malicious third party.

Regarding samples

We sincerely apologize, but we are currently unable to provide samples.
Should you wish to try the flavor, we would appreciate it if you could purchase a smaller size, such as 20g or 30g.

Regarding wholesale

We sincerely regret to inform you that we are unable to accommodate wholesale orders at this time.
Due to the sharp increase in global demand for matcha, Japanese matcha producers are unable to keep pace, and the shortage of raw materials continues.
Therefore, we are not in a position to offer wholesale for the foreseeable future.
We deeply apologize for not being able to meet your expectations and would greatly appreciate your kind understanding.

How to Handle Matcha

・What is the shelf life?

It varies depending on the product, but most items have a shelf life of about 6 months to 1 year.
The expiration date is listed on each product page.
Please note that these dates apply to unopened products.
Since matcha loses quality when oxidized, we recommend consuming it as soon as possible after opening.

・How should matcha be stored?

Matcha is very delicate, and its quality can deteriorate quickly if not stored properly.
It is sensitive to temperature, humidity, light, and odors. In particular, high heat and humidity can rapidly damage its flavor.
Therefore, please take note of the following storage guidelines:

Unopened:
Store in a cool, dry place away from high temperatures and humidity.
If you keep it in the refrigerator, let it return to room temperature before opening.
Opening it while still cold may cause condensation, which can speed up deterioration.

After opening:
Consume as quickly as possible. Store the matcha in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator or freezer.

We recommend using airtight containers like the following, which also help remove clumps and make matcha easier to use:

・After opening, should I put matcha directly into the can, or keep it in the bag inside the can?

Basically, we recommend storing it in the silver bag, sealed as tightly as possible, and placing the bag inside the can.
If it is difficult to scoop from the bag, you may transfer the powder directly into the can without any problem.

Either way, the difference in quality is minimal. We recommend keeping it in a cool, dark place and consuming it as soon as possible.

・About pesticide use

If the product does not have an organic certification label, it is cultivated in accordance with Japanese agricultural pesticide standards.
All products are managed according to these guidelines to ensure they are safe for consumption.
