TSUJIRI CHAHO Hoshi-no-Tsumugi Matcha (Yame, Hoshino Village)

TSUJIRI CHAHO MATCHA
“HOSHI-NO-TSUMUGI”

Crafted in Hoshino Village, Yame (Fukuoka) — a smooth, nutty-umami matcha made to shine in lattes, and still refined enough for tea ceremony.

Yame · Hoshino Village Latte-Friendly Tea Ceremony Quality

Why You’ll Love “HOSHI-NO-TSUMUGI”

🍵 Flavor Profile
Nutty umami with a gentle bitterness — balanced, smooth, and easy to enjoy even for daily drinkers.
🥛 Perfect for Matcha Lattes
Designed to stay flavorful in milk — rich green color, satisfying body, and great value for latte use.
🎎 Refined Enough for Tea Ceremony
Not “just a latte matcha.” It’s a quality matcha you can confidently whisk and drink straight.

How to Enjoy

✅ Matcha Latte (recommended)
Sift 2–3g, whisk with a little warm water, then top with milk. Adjust sweetness as you like.
✅ Usucha (straight matcha)
Sift 2g, add 60–80ml warm water, whisk until frothy. Enjoy the nutty umami and clean finish.
Tip: Sifting improves smoothness and makes lattes taste cleaner.

About TSUJIRI-CHAHO

There are numerous brands bearing the name “Tsujiri” across Japan, including in Kyoto.

As for our relationship with other Tsujiri establishments in different regions, to put it simply, we are related by family ties.

When Tsujiri was originally founded in 1860, we all operated under the same name. However, over time, noren-wake (a traditional form of business succession within families) took place among relatives. Today, each Tsujiri operates as a completely separate legal entity, rooted in its respective region, offering high-quality Japanese tea with the support of local customers and business partners.

Note: Tea shops bearing the name “Tsujiri,” which trace their origins back to Tsujiriemon in 1860, can be found not only in Kyoto (home to four such brands), but also in Tokyo, Okayama, and Moji in Kitakyushu, among others. While most of these establishments are run by relatives, they are entirely independent businesses.
