This is my first time ordering from MatchaJP, and first time trying other types of matcha powders other than the 'popular ones' like Ippodo Tea and Marukyu Koyamaen.
I ordered this based on reviews, and when whisking this I thought the smell was quite seaweed-y. But when I poured ir over my fave Oatmilk (chobani) it was quite creamy and kind of nutty!
Will order again! -

I wasn’t sure what to expect since I hadn’t heard of MEIYO before, but I’m really glad I gave it a try.
This matcha has a super vibrant green color and a fresh, clean aroma. When I whisked it, it frothed beautifully and had a smooth, creamy texture. The taste is rich and mellow—very little bitterness and a nice umami finish.
Honestly, it’s just as good as some of the bigger names like Koyamaen. If you’ve been having trouble finding your usual favorites in stock, this is a great alternative. It feels like a hidden gem.
I’ll definitely be buying this again. -

I usually buy matcha from well-known brands like Hoshinoen or Koyamaen, but they’ve been out of stock lately. So I decided to give this Shizuoka-grown matcha a try—and I’m so glad I did!
The quality is truly top-notch: vibrant green color, fresh aroma, and a smooth, slightly sweet finish with minimal bitterness. You can tell it’s carefully crafted and fresh. Honestly, if it came in a tin labeled with a famous brand, you wouldn’t know the difference.
It might not have the same name recognition, but it absolutely delivers in quality. I’ve already recommended it to a few matcha-loving friends. If you're tired of waiting for restocks or paying premium prices, this is a fantastic alternative! -

This is a good one for pure matcha with smooth, nutty, umami and beautiful green.
