How to Make a Delicious Matcha Latte (Hot & Iced)

Hot Matcha Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp (2g) matcha powder
  • 60 ml (2 oz) hot water (~80°C / 176°F)
  • 150–200 ml (5–7 oz) milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • Sweetener to taste

Instructions

  1. Sift 1 tsp of matcha into a bowl to prevent clumps.
  2. Add 60 ml of hot water and whisk briskly in a zigzag motion until frothy.
  3. Warm or steam the milk and froth it to your preference.
  4. Pour the milk into your matcha and stir gently.
  5. Add sweetener if desired. Enjoy hot.


Iced Matcha Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp (2g) matcha powder
  • 60 ml (2 oz) hot water (~80°C / 176°F)
  • 150–200 ml (5–7 oz) cold milk
  • Ice cubes
  • Sweetener to taste

Instructions

  1. Sift 1 tsp of matcha into a bowl or shaker bottle.
  2. Add 60 ml of hot water and whisk or shake until completely mixed and frothy.
  3. Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour cold milk over the ice.
  4. Pour the whisked matcha over the milk.
  5. Add sweetener if desired. Stir and enjoy chilled.
