🍵 Matcha Bowl – By Shoraku Sasaki (Raku Ware)
This is a traditional Japanese matcha bowl crafted by renowned potter Shoraku Sasaki using the Raku ware technique. It is designed exclusively for drinking matcha and embodies the rustic warmth and simplicity of handmade Japanese ceramics.
⚠️ Cautions for Use
・Do not use the bowl for purposes other than drinking matcha.
・Do not use detergent. Rinse with warm water after use and dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated place.
・Raku ware is a soft pottery made from coarse clay, so hot water may seep through the surface.
・Before each use, soak the bowl in room temperature or lukewarm water.
– For new bowls: soak for 1–2 minutes
– For well-used bowls: soak for about 30 seconds
This helps prevent staining and reduces the risk of cracks.
